My name is Shannon Nelson and I've been with B2BGateway coming up on eight years this August. I work in the Rhode Island headquarters as a Senior Project Manager. Rhode Island born and bred, I have lived in Connecticut for the last five years with my husband. In April 2014 we welcomed our first child, our 10 month old son, Connor.
SPORTS
Being a long-time Rhode Islander, I have serious love/hate relationship with New England sports teams. I grew up with a dad who tried to ingrain the Red Sox into me, and my younger, defiant self decided to route for the New York Yankees. I grew to love the Yankees, as well as the New England Patriots and Boston Bruins. May 1, 2010 will always be an epic day in history for me.
My husband and I sat ice level at the Bruins / Flyers playoff game at TD Garden when the Bruins clinched it in overtime by Marc Savard's game-winning goal.
FOOD
Second to sports, my favorite hobby is definitely cooking. According to my husband, I make a mean pasta pancetta. I also love throwing whatever is in my fridge into the Crock-Pot and seeing what comes out when I get home. So far, so good, I guess being that my husband is still alive to talk about it. My fallback will always be Mexican food, especially if there is good tequila to accompany it.
APPROACH TO WORK
As a long-time staff member here at B2BGateway, I have really enjoyed watching our clients grow and flourish. To this day, I still work with my very first client, and even though there have been a couple bumps in the road, we still make time for lots of good laughs. I value my clients and work to the best of my ability to give them great service and help their business thrive.
