Hello! My name is Semir! I grew up all over the place. I was born in Doboj, Bosnia then shortly moved to Germany for 6 years, then to Italy and Holland for a year each. I finally moved to the United States in 1999 and spent most of my teenage years in Hartford, Connecticut and Woonsocket, Rhode Island. I completed my International Business degree at Johnson & Wales University in 2013. I realized I had a passion to help customers and lead employees when I worked in the food industry during my high school years and wanted to continue working in the customer service / management field. I joined B2BGateway in June, 2013 and enjoyed my time here with a great group of people.
Hobbies / Interests
I don't have too many hobbies. I enjoy working out, playing basketball, and soccer. I also like to watch all types of sports. I'm a big New England fan, so I root for the Celtics, Patriots, Red Sox, and Bruins. My life is mostly surrounded by sports, but occasionally I also like to go out dancing with my girlfriend at Bosnian concerts.
Favorite Food
I don't think I have a favorite food. I guess I would be a boring person to go to a restaurant with. Since one of my hobbies is working out, in order to stay fit, I usually only eat chicken, steak, sweet potatoes, brown rice, and fruits. I do have a "cheat day" once a month. This is the one day that I can eat anything that I'm craving. I usually have crepes and traditional Bosnian food like, Burek, Sirnica, Cevapi, Baklava, and much more.
Approach to work
It's not complicated; my goal is to satisfy every client. I believe if my clients are satisfied and feel confident in my abilities, as a Support Engineer, it makes my day much more enjoyable and fun. I enjoy problem solving and helping with a client's EDI needs. My favorite part of being with B2BGateway is ending a conversation with a happy client. I'm a strong believer that smiling can make you happier and a positive attitude can lead you to success.
